Purpose and Benefits of Bijli Bill Mafi Yojana

If you qualify for the Bijli Bill Mafi Yojana, you’ll only have to pay ₹200 for your electricity bill. If your bill is already less than ₹200, you will just pay the original amount. To be eligible, your household’s total electricity meter reading must be 2 kilowatts or less.

The main aim of this program is to support poor households by waiving or reducing their electricity bills. It is designed to assist those who find it hard to pay their monthly electricity bills because they do not have sufficient income.

Eligibility to Avail the UP Bijli Bill Mafi Yojana

UP Bijli Bill Mafi Yojana is designed to benefit consumers who use only one television, tubelight, and fan.

People who consume more than 1000 watts of electricity in heaters, AC, and other electronic appliances are not eligible for the scheme.

Notably, domestic consumers with an electric meter of 2 kilowatts or less fall into the eligibility criteria for this scheme.

Citizens belonging to small villages and districts are eligible to benefit from the UP Bijli Bill Mafi Yojana.

The scheme is also expected to help 1.70 crore customers by waiving off their electricity bills.
