National Mathematics Day was scheduled to be on December 22. National Mathematics Day was thus observed for the first time nationwide on December 22, 2012. The primary goal of the event is to increase public awareness of the value of mathematics for the advancement of humanity. How is the Day Celebrated?
In many Indian schools, universities, colleges, and other academic facilities, National Mathematics Day is observed. India and even UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) have agreed to collaborate to promote mathematics education and comprehension. The oldest science academy is located in Allahabad and is called NASI (The National Academy of Science India).
