You must have seen Jihadi John in ISIS videos. The rapper turned terrorist from West London, England is originally named Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary. According to the latest media reports, he has been found dead in his prison cell.
How Did Jihadi John Die?
The alleged terrorist was originally from London and was removed from his English citizenship after his ties with Islamic State. A former rapper has been found dead in his prison in Spain. His death was confirmed by the interior ministry. Although the cause of his death is still unknown.
Back in 2020, he was arrested for beheading a jihadist terror cell. Earlier this month he went on trial and was on hold for his final verdict. Before his death, he was facing nine years of jail time. He was 32 at that time. He grew up in Maida Vale but left in 2013 to Al-Qaida and later IS militias in Syria.

All About Jihadi John
According to reports and tabloids, he was the son of an Egyptian operative of al-Qaida. His father was allegedly responsible for 1998’s bombings at the US embassy in Africa. The incident killed 224 people. From there, Bary stopped his music career and moved to Syria to join the forces of Al-Qaida. In 2013, he left for Raqqa leaving behind his mother and 5 siblings.
In 2014, he became the centre of controversy when he posted a picture with a severed head in a Syrian city. He wrote a caption- “Chillin’ with my homie or what’s left of him.”
He was later arrested alongside two men in the southern town of Almería after being caught crossing the border of Gibraltar. He was considered as the IS’s “most-wanted foreign terrorist fighters”. Additionally, he was accused of forming a jihadist terrorist cell along with two other men. They were committing internet banking scams in order to finance their terrorist activities”.
