Basically, the day concludes the Lent period which observes Christ’s resurrection along with the events that led to the crucifixion. It has always been observed since the 15th century, recognising Jesus’s return to earth. The festival includes a lot of jovial activities including egg rolling, parades, and contests. Easter Monday is the day right after Easter Sunday. It is the official beginning of spring as well as the celebration of our saviour’s selfless act towards his followers. Jesus sacrificed his own life for our sins. He took our spot and felt all the pain. His followers will receive the gift of salvation and be with him in the afterlife.

Traditionally, the festival is known as Wet Monday in Poland. On this day, men like to pour water on women’s heads and then ladies take their revenge on Tuesday. Quite a fun tradition to be a part of Poland’s easter festivities and the beginning of spring. Other names include “Bright Monday” or “Renewal Monday.”. It denotes Holy Week is over and it’s time to step into the next holiday phase.
